Are you heading out to find the best parties? <strong>New Orleans</strong> is home to one of the largest Mardi Gra celebrations in America. Here are a few of the popular activities that will happen during this week:</p>
<ol>
<li>Parades: Parades will begin of February 5<sup>th</sup> and will continue through Mardi Gra day, which is the 16<sup>th</sup>.  There will several parades every day so no matter where you are in New Orleans you will be sure to see one!</li>
<li>King Cakes: King Cakes are an un-skippable Mardi Gra tradition and can be found in any bakery or grocery store across New Orleans.</li>
<li>Costumes: People will dress up in costumes all across New Orleans. Masks are a tradition and are part of the fun. Think about it, Halloween in February!</li>
</ol>
<p>The celebration of Mardi Gra came to the US in 1699 from Paris and has become a widely celebrated tradition across America.</p>
