It is very important that you make a visit to the doctor before your vacation to make sure that you are healthy enough to make the trip. The doctor will also be able to make sure you are fully protected from any diseases that may lurk at you vacation location.

Be sure that you are up front with the doctor when you visit him or her about possible genetic diseases or past medical problems you have had. The doctor may discourage certain vaccines if you are at risk of the vaccine stimulating a dormant genetic condition.
