One of the seven wonders in the worlds is the Statue of Christ the Redeemer found in Brazil. The birth of the idea of constructing the statue was in 1921, when Vincentian Father Pedro Maria Boss went to the Rio de Janeiro. He was impressed with the beauty of the nearby mountain and presented the idea as a way of showing honor to the Princess Isabel.

Many engineers were interviewed for the task of constructing this large monument, but only Heitor da Silva Costa was chosen for the task. Fund raising for this statue began. The construction did not actually begin until 1927.

There was a lot of experimentation in the beginning. Many models of various sizes and materials were constructed to test integrity and a variety of other factors. Today it is an impressive sight and a very popular tourist attraction.

The story of the construction of the Taj Mahal is one of the most beautiful love stories in the world. Shah Jahan met Mumtaz Mahal and fell in love when he was very young, but five years later they were married in 1612. They were very happy together. He gave her the name Mumtaz Mahal, which means “Jewel of the Palace.”

However, Mumtaz Mahal died from complications while giving birth to their fourteenth child. Shah Jahan was heartbroken even though the end of a very successful military campaign was drawing near. He ordered the court into mourning for two whole years.

Soon after her death, he began the construction of the Taj Mahal to remember her by. The construction took 22 years and over 22,000 workers. This beautiful building is said to be Mumtaz Mahal’s last wish. Today, it is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and one of the most popular vacation sites in the world.

One of the places least traveled to in the world will likely be shut down to tourism soon. While this may not seem so bad, this is also one of the most interesting places in the world. It is Antarctica.

There are rumors that this will be the last year that Antarctica will be open to tourism. The reason for this is because of the restrictions and rules surrounding travel to the continent.

People will still be able to travel to Antarctica, but it will be much harder. Most of the people who travel to this land already find it difficult to get permission to go there. The majority of people who are allowed to travel there must be there for scientific purposes.

However, recently many more people have decided to travel here because it is one of the last untouched areas of the earth. Scientists are arguing that this poses a threat to the natural environment and want to limit the number of travelers who visit Antarctica.

Now is the time to visit this wild landscape if you have the desire.
